AI Image Upscaler — 4x Resolution, Free to Try

From thumbnail to print-ready in 10 seconds.

What it does

Phone photo at 800px and you need it for a hero banner? Old scan blurry? Stock thumbnail too small? Clarity Upscaler hallucinates plausible detail back into the image — sharper than naive scaling, real enough to use. The 4x mode handles print at standard ad sizes. Best on photographs (faces, fabric, foliage); graphics with hard text are hit or miss.

How it works

01

Upload your photo

JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC. We support up to 4 MB input; output can be up to 16 MP.

02

Pick scale: 2x or 4x

2x for web display upgrade; 4x for print or banner. The 4x option takes longer (~20 s) but adds real detail, not just blur.

03

Download the upscaled file

Lossless PNG or high-quality JPG. The output is detail-enhanced, not just pixel-doubled.

Image Upscaler — FAQ

Does it actually add detail or just blur?

Adds detail. It's a diffusion model — it hallucinates plausible texture rather than stretching pixels. Output is usually closer to a higher-res original than a stretched copy.

Max output size?

16MP (e.g. 4096×4096). For bigger, run it twice — 4x then 2x = 8x total. Native 8x when the model stops adding artifacts at that scale.

Will faces or hands get weird?

Faces usually fine, often improved. Hands occasionally off — the model can over-smooth or add a sixth finger. Run a sample on a copy before committing your only file.

How is this different from Photoshop Super Resolution?

Photoshop uses Adobe's diffusion; ours uses Clarity Upscaler. Quality is comparable on most photos. We don't need a Creative Cloud subscription.

Copyright?

Output of your own photo is yours. Don't upscale photos you don't own.
